Hi, I'm Jacob Tober and I am the Head of Research and Education at Metric VBT, a revolutionary Velocity Based Training (VBT) app. Metric VBT is an app I helped design and validate.
When I started coaching with VBT most of the information on training with velocity was incredibly complex. I quickly became frustrated that many beginners (like me) were discouraged from using the incredible techniques available with VBT. This website is my attempt to make VBT more useful and easier to implement!
I am also an ESSA accredited Sports scientist and ASCA level 2 certified S&C coach with over 10 years of coaching experience at the elite level and in the private sector. My previous rol has been as a strength and conditioning coach and internship delivery at Core Advantage Athletic Development from 2013 - 2020.
